PROVIDING HAND & PHYSICAL THERAPY TO PALM BEACH COUNTY
Jupiter | Lake Worth | Royal Palm
Comprehensive Hand & Physical Therapy is an outpatient rehabilitation group that provides, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and certified hand therapy to the Palm Beach County community. Currently we have three locations in Jupiter, Lake Worth, and Royal Palm Beach.
For over 25 years our patients have been our number one priority. Our licensed therapists provide individualized treatment with hands-on, compassionate care. We do not rush our patients or our clinicians. Rather, we perform comprehensive evaluations and encourage patient input for treatment planning and goal setting. Our personalized approach ensures the patient works with a licensed physical or occupational therapist on every visit to secure the best outcome for our patients.
Our philosophy has been to provide the highest quality therapy through personalized care and education. Our licensed physical and occupational therapists are all Bachelor, Master or Doctorate level clinicians with Certified Hand Therapists on staff and we offer a specialization in hand therapy at each of our three facilities. Our certified hand therapists (CHT) provide treatment for open wound care and fabricate custom splints, individualized to meet the specific needs of every patient. In addition to traditional outpatient physical therapy services we offer vestibular rehabilitation at each of our facilities provided by therapists who have completed vestibular certification programs.

Yes. The choice of where you receive therapy is always yours. While the majority of our patients come to us by physician referral/recommendation, many clients request to see us due to our strong clinical reputation in the community.
We operate in a direct access state where, if your insurance plan authorizes self-referral to physical therapy, a physician referral is not necessary for you to be seen by a licensed therapist. Please check with your insurance though as many health insurance plans require a physician’s referral for therapy to be covered.
We also offer treatments, services and/or products that do NOT require a referral and are available on a self-pay basis.
We participate in the majority of major health insurance plans including Medicare and Worker’s Compensation. Please contact us prior to your first visit to see if we participate with your specific health plan.
As a service to our patients, we will gladly file claims with your insurance company on your behalf. In order to appropriately submit these claims, we will need to obtain a copy of your insurance identification card to ensure that we have the necessary information.
Your therapist will conduct an evaluation of your condition lasting between 60-90 minutes. The evaluation is necessary to create a program designed specifically to address your needs for a maximum recovery.
– Referral slip from your medical doctor
– Your medical Insurance Card
– Your ID
– A copy of your medications list including dosages, if you have it
– If you are getting therapy as a result of a worker’s compensation claim or an automobile accident, you will also need to bring your claim information, including claim number.
Please arrive 15 minutes early on your first visit to fill out any necessary paperwork.
We recommend comfortable clothing such as sweatpants or shorts, a T-shirt or tank-top and sneakers.
Each visit will last 60 – 90 minutes on average. Times vary due to the treatment and exercises being performed.
The regularity of your visits will be determined after your initial evaluation, but most patients have 3 visits each week scheduled.
“I went here on and off for 2 years for my shoulder and Sherif Yousef was my Physical Therapist during this time. Everyone here is awesome and so friendly. I would highly recommend Comprehensive Hand & Physical Therapy in Royal Palm Beach. If I ever need to have therapy again this is the only place I will go. I still stop by just to say hi to everyone and they all remember my by name, it almost feels like they are family to me. Again, this place is really, really awesome and the people who work here are fabulous!!! I can’t say enough about everyone there.”
“I went for P/T after knee surgery. They were focused, knowledgeable, and engaged in what and how I was doing my therapy. They monitored my progress and listened to my concerns. The place is clean and the staff is kind and friendly, even those not involved in your care were kind. You also get to work with a therapist. A lot of places don’t do this anymore. Highly recommend and will return if needed.”
“From the first day I called and got a live, friendly and helpful person on the line I was thrilled. The front desk ladies are helpful and so kind! The atmosphere is like a family. I just finished therapy there and am sorry to leave! I walked in with a walker on Nov 3rd and completed therapy on Dec 30th and am walking unassisted, driving, back to work and ready to take on a new year! My strength has improved and pain level decreased. Sharif is wonderful as a therapist and I will wholeheartedly recommend Sharif and the entire office for anyone who wants to get better! This is not the first PT office that I have ever been to, but undoubtedly the best! If there was more than a 5 star rating I would use it!”
“Great place for my husband’s physical therapy. Matt and other therapists are great and work very closely with each person and their unique issue. Front desk ladies extremely accommodating and friendly! If you’re a patient here you feel like part of their family!”
“I have been going to Comprehensive Hand & PT intermittently now for over a year due to 2 separate injuries. I have had both physical therapy and occupational therapy for different parts of my body. I am very pleased with the therapists I have worked with here. They are friendly yet professional during the interaction between therapist and patient. The office staff are also friendly and accommodating with any questions or concerns I have had from billing to scheduling my appointment times. I have been welcomed and treated like family here and that is rare these days! I recommend Comprehensive Hand & Physical Therapy Professionals to anyone who requires therapy in a relaxed and professional environment.”
“I have had physical therapy by many places over the last 25 years and Nick Haffey, who is the lead physical therapist, is head and shoulders above any other therapist I have ever worked with. He does an excellent job of evaluating and treating patients. He takes time to make sure each person gets individual attention and not the run of the mill standard that so many PT places now embrace. Nick is a “hands on” therapist who does not sit back and watch the patient do a few exercises, throw an ice bag on and bill the insurance company. He is a true healer, he works with every patient every single visit and custom designs a program that will make sure they make the maximum recovery. Nick also made great recommendations for qualified doctors in the area since he has seen good and not so good outcomes after surgeries. He even squeezed our Mother in when she was visiting from out of town over the holidays and needed treatment, knowing she wouldn’t be an ongoing patient. I highly recommend Comprehensive Hand for any physical therapy needs.”
